It was a bright spring morning and the entire world seemed to be filled with the happiness that comes

with the warm season. After being cooped up inside all winter, every man, woman, and child was eager to

get out and enjoy the fresh air. The joy of spring spread to everyone, even the young teal haired

peasant who was happily selling bright flowers on the streets, was filled with glee. A bright grin

decorated her pretty face as she held out flowers to the passersby and often, she would get someone to

stop and buy from her, but it wasn't because of the pretty flowers. Most of the time, it was because

Girls of Venomania 6The ride to the ball was rather quiet, but strangely comfortable. The silence between them felt warm

and inviting instead of cold and awkward. She sat beside him and occasionally, he would break the

silence to ask her a question with which she would provide a short answer and the silence would resume.

The whole ride was like this and she would stare out the window in awe at the beautiful lights

decorating the street lamps as they passed. She never noticed that he was watching her the entire time

until he placed his hand on top of hers. Startled, she looked down at their hands, but didn't say
